Overview

When installing the Kerio Control VPN client version 9.3.4 build 3795 on a Windows system, the installation fails with the error:

Error 1920. Service Kerio Control VPN Client Service (KVPNCSvc) failed to start.
Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.

Solution

1. Upgrade Kerio Control to the latest available version.
2. Install the latest Kerio Control VPN client on the Windows machine where the error is seen.

Testing

The Kerio Control VPN client will not install successfully.

In case the installation still fails, open a support ticket with us with the below information:

• The OS version with the processor architecture (32-bit or 64-bit). Eg: Windows 10 32-bit
• VPN client logs
