License Expiration in Kerio Control

Overview

When the Kerio Control subscription expires, the functionality of the product becomes limited. It is highly recommended that the subscription be renewed to maintain all critical functions, as the firewall protection for your network and data will be significantly affected.

Reduced Functionality in Kerio Control

After the license expires, essentially, you can only get to the activation wizard, nothing else.

Additionally, the following functions and operations are affected when the subscription expires:

IPS (Intrusion Prevention System) is turned off. For more information, refer to the Configuring intrusion prevention system.

Application Awareness is turned off. For more information, refer to Application awareness in Kerio Control.

A Web filter is disabled. For more information, refer to Using Kerio Control Web Filter.

UPNP is disabled. For more information, refer to Configuring Universal Plug-and-Play (UPnP).

'Require user authentication' is turned off. For more information, refer to Requiring User Authentication When Accessing Web Pages.

NTLM (New Technology LAN Manager) authentication is turned off. For more information, refer to Automatic user authentication using NTLM.

Anti-virus turned off. For more information, refer to Antivirus.

VPN Server and all tunnels are turned off. For more information, refer to the Configuring VPN server.

Content rules are disabled. For more information, refer to Configuring the Content Filter.

Bandwidth limiter is turned off. For more information, refer to Configuring bandwidth management.

Proxy Server is turned off. For more information, refer to the Configuring proxy server.

P2P (Peer-to-Peer) Eliminator is turned off. For more information, refer to Eliminating Peer-to-Peer traffic.

Automatic backups disabled. For more information, refer to Saving Configuration to MyKerio or FTP.

MAC (Media Access Control) Filter is turned off. For more information, refer to Filtering MAC addresses.
