Overview
While modifying Kerio Control Interfaces in High Availability, the Virtual IP gateway used for HA is losing the connection for a short time period. When disabling or modifying the Interfaces parameters, the HA link Master and Slave interface goes down.
This article provides extended information about the default behavior of Kerio Control in such a scenario.
Information
Here, by modifying any interface, we change the winroute configuration and this then triggers the HA daemon state change. UCARP failover mechanism gets reset and virtual IPs are re-assigned. In the meantime, for a couple of seconds, previously assigned virtual IPs become inaccessible. This is how things operate for HA design and it is considered as Expected Behavior.
