Overview

While trying to block Internet access entirely with only one exceptional website access, you need to configure Content rules in a specific manner. Kerio Control will need to have the "Always require users to be authenticated" option enabled together with HTTPS filtering prior to creating Content rules.

Solution

In this example, we will be using Facebook as an exceptional website you need to have access to. You can replace it with any other Web or application category or URL needed.

In Kerio Control Webadmin navigate to Content Filter and create 2 separate content rules:

1. Allow Facebook
   1. Detected Content: Facebook category and "*facebook.com*" URL.
   2. Source: User (or users) in question
   3. Action: Allow
2. Block other websites
   1. Detected Content: Any
   2. Source: User (or users) in question
   3. Action: Drop

Note: optionally, you can enable "Log the traffic" checkbox to track the dropped content.
