You are unable to activate your renewed Kerio Control license key, although on the GFI Portal it shows that the subscription has been renewed. You get one of these errors in Kerio Control during license activation:
Expired license or
Unable to continue. The security code or the
license number is not entered correctly.
These errors are usually displayed when the internal download limit has reached for this license. Open a support request, if not already done, and provide us with the renewed license key so that we can check and change the download limit if needed.
You would need to have the client's renewed license key before proceeding with the solution steps below:
- Login to the KISS portal.
- Enter the customer's license in the
License numbers and licensesfield and press the
Returnkey, which will open the license details page.
- Under the
Product - current settingssection, check the value of the field
Download Limit: Downloaded/Limit. The download limit would have reached and so, the value for
Limitwill be the same (eg: 10/10).
- Click on
Change registration data.
- Increase the value of
Limit(eg: 12) and save the settings.
Request the customer to apply the license again in Kerio Control.
Alternatively, you can click on
License file download in the KISS portal and send the updated license file to the customer.
Once the support team confirms that they increased the download limit, apply the license again in Kerio Control and it should get activated successfully.
