Overview
When using VLANs with Kerio Control, there could be a need to separate traffic between different sets of users (eg: staff and customers), to limit and/or monitor their usage.
Solution
- When configuring VLANs on Kerio Control, each VLAN is assigned a DHCP scope so you can easily configure any rules for each VLAN.
- It is recommended to keep the different VLANs in the Trusted/Local Interfaces group since Kerio Control doesn't apply the Web Filter on any Guest Interfaces.
- In order to keep the traffic between the different VLANs exclusive, create Bandwidth Management Rules to deny communication between VLANs. These rules can be based on the DHCP IP range that the VLANs are assigned.
