Overview
When GFI Unlimited is purchased for the Kerio Control hardware box (NG100, NG300, NG500), the license installation may fail because of improper Hardware settings. The Product Registration may cause network firewall outage for users until the correct license is installed.
Diagnosis
Hardware box license requires specific settings to be selected in the Kerio Sales System. Such settings should be applied manually by the Sales representative or Support agent.
Solution
- Follow the License Activation wizard guide.
- Once you get to the point of Kerio Control Hardware Selection, leave the default option No Hardware as it is. Click Generate.
- Provide the generated license number and your Customer ID to the Sales or Support team for modification purposes.
- Once the agent confirms the change is completed, import the license into the Hardware box by following Registering Kerio Control guide.
Confirmation
The license is successfully imported into Kerio Control. License details show the correct information about the Hardware box.
