Overview
This article provides details on which protocols and encryption algorithms are being used by the Kerio VPN client.
Information
Kerio's VPN uses standard encryption algorithms SSL for the control channel (TCP) and Blowfish for the data transport (UDP).
The cipher algorithm used for the control channel is Secure Socket Layer protocol AES 256-SHA and for data transport, it is AES-GCM.
Important: Counter Mode Blowfish 128bit for data transport was disabled due to discovered vulnerability. Please refer to Changes in Kerio Control VPN 9.2.8 and above.
