Overview
This article shares the process of Monitoring Kerio Control system health and Managing storage space.
This allows the Kerio Control administrators to keep track of their free low level of CPU, RAM, and disk space usage.
Solution
Monitoring Kerio Control System Health
- Log into your Kerio Control administration.
- Go to Status > System Health to use the following features for monitoring your Kerio Control device's system health:
- Time Interval: Use this drop-down menu to select the period of CPU load and RAM usage.
- CPU: Review the timeline of the device's CPU load for the selected time interval.
Note: Short intervals of peak load are not unusual and can be caused by the network activity.
- RAM: Review the timeline of RAM usage for the selected time interval.
Note: It is recommended to increase the RAM when you receive the following entries in alert logs: Low free RAM disk space in ./tmp directory. Current RAM disk free space is 114,84 MB.
- Storage usage: View the current free and used space on your disk. If there is less storage space available, then click Manage to free up some space. Learn more about managing storage space.
- Reboot: Click this button to restart the system.
Note: Lack of system resources may seriously affect Kerio Control's functionality. If these resources are permanently overloaded, restart Kerio Control and then check system resources usage once again.
- Power Off: Click this button to shut down your device.
- Time Interval: Use this drop-down menu to select the period of CPU load and RAM usage.
Managing Storage Space
- Go to Status > System Health.
- Go to the Storage space section and click Manage to free storage space by using the following options:
- Delete old or unnecessary files (logs, statistics, etc.), especially if you are receiving the following entries in your alert logs:
[09/Feb/2020 06:35:39] Low free disk space in ./logs directory. Current disk free space is 284.12 MB.Note: In case of this error, you should consider redeploying the Kerio Control appliance with a bigger disk to get more storage space.
Important: if HTTP cache is configured, the storage space UI will allow deleting HTTP cache.
- Set storage size limits (retention policy) for files created by Kerio Control.
Note: This dialog box only shows the elements that occupy some space (MB) on your disk. Once the data is cleared, storage space will show "there are no temporary files on the disk".
- Delete old or unnecessary files (logs, statistics, etc.), especially if you are receiving the following entries in your alert logs:
