Overview

Kerio Control allows configuring a limit for the volume of data a user is allowed to transfer. Furthermore, Kerio Control allows defining what happens once the quota is exceeded. 

To define user quotas from the Kerio Control, follow the steps below. 

Process

1. Open the Administration interface and navigate to Accounting and Monitoring > Data Gathering.
2. Check the Gather internet usage statistics box.

3. In the Administration interface, go to Users.
4. Select the desired user or user group and click on Edit (or double-click the desired user to edit).

5. Click the Quota tab and select one of the options among the following: Enable daily limit, Enable weekly limit or Enable monthly limit. Use the Direction drop-down menu to set limits for Download, Upload or All traffic.
6. Define the quotas.
7. Choose one of the Exceeded quota action options: you may either Block all further traffic or use Don't block further traffic instead to limit connection speed for the user once the limit is exceeded.
   
   
   
   
8. Click on Close.
